  • Have you experienced back, pelvis or hip pain during your pregnancy, or in the post-natal period?
  • Do you have any concerns about your pelvic floor, your ability to control your bladder or bowels?
  • Do you ever experience a feeling of pressure or deep ache, or a feeling of ‘something coming down’ in the vagina or pelvis?

None of the above symptoms should ever be considered ‘normal’, although they are very common among women, especially those who are pregnant or have just had a baby.

Pelvic Floor exercises are essential for all women to maintain control over your bladder and support your vagina, uterus and bowel. Come along to Mediclinic Dubai Mall’s free coffee morning with our specialist women’s health physiotherapist (and mother of 5!) Andrea Duggan, and learn how to use pelvic floor exercises to manage these problems, or better still, avoid them from occurring at all. Andrea will also be there to advise and answer questions about:.

  • Back care
  • Safe exercise in pregnancy and postnatally
  • Care and rehabilitation of the pelvic floor and abdominal muscles
  • Natural pain relief and coping skills for labour and delivery
  • Any other questions or concerns you may have!

The coffee morning is a very practical and interactive session and allows open discussion about creating strength, flexibility and balance in the whole body during your antenatal /postnatal period so that you can continue with your daily activities stronger, healthier and symptom-free.
