- Dr Heba El Hasin is a neurologist with more than 20 years of experience in the UAE, Egypt and Oman in Government and private tertiary care hospitals. She undertook her neurology and psychiatry resident programmes in Egypt and worked as an assistant lecturer in Al Azhar University. She completed her master degree in stroke medicine from the European stroke organisation in Austria and completed her Speciality Certificate examination from the Royal College of Physicians, UK. Prior to joining Mediclinic, she worked as a specialist in Rashid Hospital in Dubai, and SEHA hospitals in Abu Dhabi (Al ain Hospital and Tawam Hospital).
She is a member of the World Stroke Organization and has numerous publications in peer reviewed journals to her credit. She has also been an active speaker, moderator, Chairperson and member of scientific committees in various local and international conferences.
She has special interest in stroke management and has a great deal of experience in acute stroke management and management of critical patients in stroke units and intensive care.
She is experienced in reporting nerve conduction studies, EMG and evoked potential studies and EEG. She has a special interest in Botulium toxin (Botox) injections for migraines, hemifacial spasm spasticity and dystonia and is expert in baclofen pump refilling and programming.
