Dr. Taher is a specialist in ophthalmology who worked in Iraq before moving to the UAE in 2008. He diagnoses and treats all types of eye diseases and performs most types of ophthalmic surgery such as cataract extraction with IOL implantation, both extracapsular and phacoemulsification, glaucoma, strabismus, lid surgery and vitreo-retinal surgery, as well as keratoplasty and vitrectomy, in addition to all types of minor surgeries under local anaesthesia in the outpatient department). He also does argon laser phototherapy for diabetic retinopathy and YAG laser capsulotomy.
He also has experience in refractive surgery including LASIK and corneal rings surgeries, and all types of ophthalmic emergency and trauma (ophthalmic traumatology).
