Dr Rugut qualified at Edinburgh University in 2004 with an MBchB and a Bsc in Medical Microbiology. She went on to train in General Practice in the North of England and gained her membership of the Royal College of General Practitioners (MRCGP) in 2011. She also obtained the diploma of the Faculty of Sexual and Reproductive Healthcare (DFSRH) and Diploma of the Royal College of Obstetricians (DRCOG) and has a special interest in family planning and women’s health.
During her training Dr Rugut spent time in a number of specialties including Orthopaedics, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Paediatrics, Accident and Emergency Medicine and Respiratory and General Medicine. She has been practising Family Medicine in the UK since 2011.
Dr Rugut has experience in treating patients of all ages and backgrounds. She values the patient doctor relationship and recognises the importance of the psychological and social as well as the physical factors which contribute to a patient’s presentation. She recognises the importance of lifestyle changes to improve health and prevent disease and is confident in the diagnosis and monitoring of chronic disease. She is dedicated to providing excellent, evidence based healthcare.
