- Dr. Galuba was the first accredited Filipino Internal Medicine specialist in the UAE when he arrived in 2012. He has a total of 23 years’ clinical experience and he is a graduate of Saint Louis University College of Medicine in Baguio city, Philippines. Dr. Galuba underwent four years of accredited Internal Medicine training at Baguio General Hospital & Medical Center (BGHMC) which is an 800 bed capacity hospital and the biggest training centre north of Manila. While in training he rotated at the Research Institute of Tropical medicine (RITM) which is a centre specialising in infectious diseases. After finishing his residency, he passed the Philippine Specialty Board of Internal Medicine (PSBIM) in 2002, certifying him as a Diplomate in his field. He went on to pursue private practice and was a consultant in three different hospitals in his city, and was a Professor in the College of Medicine & Nursing before moving to the GCC as a specialist in Internal Medicine in 2009. Since moving to Dubai in 2012, he has established a role in the UAE Filipino community as a pioneer Filipino internist. Since then he has been visited by many Filipino patients coming from different emirates.
