- Dr. Usama Warshow is a UK-trained consultant with over two decades of experience in the field of Gastroenterology and Hepatology. He has worked in the UAE since 2015. Prior to moving to the UAE, he worked as a consultant at a large university teaching hospital in the South West of England, UK
He is experienced in managing a wide array of gastrointestinal conditions. He has a specialist interest in liver diseases, holding a PhD in the field of Hepatology. The liver conditions he regularly manages include fatty liver, viral hepatitis, autoimmune liver disease and cirrhosis. He also has an interest in managing several gastroenterological conditions including Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease, inflammatory bowel disease and functional conditions, such as irritable bowel syndrome.
Dr. Usama is an experienced endoscopist and regularly performs interventional and diagnostic endoscopy He is accredited in the UK by Joint Advisory Group (JAG) as an Endoscopist and Colonoscopy Trainer.
Dr. Usama Warshow received his medical degree from St Bartholomew’s and Royal London Hospital Medical Colleges, London, and undertook his specialist training in South West Deanery and Oxford, UK. He is an active researcher and medical trainer who currently holds an Honorary Associate Professor position at Mohammed Bin Rashid University of Medical & Health Sciences. He has been involved in multiple multicentre trials and has publications in high impact peer-reviewed journals.
