- With more than 30 years in the field, Dr. Kristensen is a highly experienced haematologist. He graduated from University of Aarhus in Denmark in 1984, and continued his practice in Sweden over the following 16 years. He completed a PhD in Drug Sensitivity Testing from University of Uppsala in Sweden and was there appointed as Associate Professor. His work has gone on to be widely published in peer-reviewed journals.
- In 2000, Dr. Kristensen transferred to the UAE where he worked as a consultant haematologist and Department Head in Tawam Hospital, Al Ain, and later also in Sheikh Khalifa Medical City, in Abu Dhabi. He has been extensively involved in teaching of medical students and residents both in Sweden and in the UAE.
- His experience covers all types of haematological diseases and he is highly skilled in apheresis procedures, blood and plasma exchange, as well bone marrow procedures and lumbar puncture. Dr. Kristensen is highly focused on patient care and problem solving.
