Smitha has 14 years of clinical experience in Paediatrics including management of type 1 diabetes in different paediatric age groups. She has one year of clinical experience in the adult medical unit including management of diabetes complications including wound management in diabetic foot.
She has worked as a dDiabetes link nurse including Acting Diabetes Educator at Mediclinic Welcare Hospital and has undergone formal training under the Diabetes team at RDUH, NHS UK. She has undertaken certified training in insulin pump ( Omnipod) and operating Sudoscan device.
