Dr George Alexander is a consultant gastroenterologist with special training in liver transplantation hepatology and advanced endoscopic procedures including endoscopic ultrasound.
He completed his DM in Gastroenterology from the prestigious Sanjay Gandhi Postgraduate Institute in Lucknow, India. Following this he undertook a Fellowship in Liver Transplantation and Hepatology from Paul Brousse Hospital, Paris, France. He was Head of Department of Gastroenterology of a premier Hospital in Bangalore, India before moving to the UAE. He has been working as a consultant gastroenterologist in Dubai since 2014 and holds a Speciality Certificate from the British Society of Gastroenterology.
With more than 15 years experience in the field, Dr George is highly skilled in handling the whole spectrum of gastrointestinal diseases including post liver transplant patients, and has a special interest in hepatology, ERCP, pH metry/manometry and endoscopic ultrasound for which he is one of the few qualified doctors in the UAE. He is also a member of various national and international organisations.
He has a reputation for excellent patient care with an emphasis on preventative care and lifestyle changes and is known for his sincerity and passion for his work. Dr George also keeps abreast of the latest developments in his field by updating his knowledge and attending national and International conferences.
