She received her undergraduate and postgraduate qualifications from premier institutes in Bombay, India. She did her postgraduation in Ophthalmology in 1997-98, followed by Diplomate of National board, New Delhi in 1999 and later achieved her Fellowship in Phacoemulsification. and Cataract Microsurgery from Sankara Nethralaya, Chennai,one of the leading & well-known Ophthalmic Institutes of India, in the year 2000.
She has been successfully performing Phacoemulsification cataract surgeries (sutureless cataract surgery) since 2000.
