- Dr. Aftab is a highly experienced paediatric surgeon with more than 20 years’ medical experience. He has been practicing in the UAE since 2015.
He undertakes a wide variety of paediatric procedures including neonatal surgeries such as repair of congenital diaphragm hernia, infantile hypertrophic pyloric stenosis, bowel atresias and malformations. He is also experienced in laparoscopic surgeries such as appendicectomy and and cholecystectomy in children. Other areas of interest include paediatric and neonatal hernia, undescended testis, paediatric urology, thoracotomy and video assisted thoracoscopic procedures.
Dr. Aftab has authored a number of articles on the subject of paediatric surgery and has undertaken several research projects.
