Petri qualified at the University of the Free State in Bloemfontein, South Africa in 2007. She gained extensive experience in both in-hospital and clinic treatment of patients, including ICU, paediatric, surgical, orthopaedic and musculoskeletal conditions.
In 2017 she obtained her OMT Certificate, after which she served on the OMT Committee in the Free State branch until 2023.
