Summary
Dr. Mohammed Al-Saiddi has over 15 years of experience at Stavanger University Hospital in Norway, with a seven-month period at the American Hospital in Dubai. In the last three years of his tenure at Stavanger University Hospital, he served as the Head of the Gynaecology, Obstetrics and Fluoroscopy Units.
Since 2009, Dr. Al-Saiddi has been extensively involved in CT colonography and played a key role in introducing it to the department in collaboration with the gastroenterology unit. He has performed over 3,000 cases to date. He also introduced liver analysis imaging for focal liver lesions prior to partial liver resections, and in 2017, he implemented liver ablation procedures.
In 2013, Dr. Al-Saiddi introduced dynamic MRI and conventional defecography for pelvic floor disorders, including prolapse and urinary or fecal incontinence, in conjunction with multidisciplinary team meetings involving various specialities. Additionally, he integrated contrast-enhanced ultrasound (CEUS) for kidney and liver imaging in the department, as well as intraoperative guided resections such as partial nephrectomies and ultrasound-guided liver resections.
His expertise extends to prostate MRI with fusion imaging prior to biopsy. He has served as a peer reviewer for the European Journal of Ultrasound and Oncology Ultrasound. Throughout his career, he has maintained a strong focus on liver, gallbladder, and pancreatic diseases and has actively participated in multiple multicenter studies on pancreatic cancer staging.
Dr. Al-Saiddi has significant experience in oncologic and non-oncologic gynaecologic conditions, including deep endometriosis, fibroid subtyping, cancer staging and follow-ups. As a general radiologist, he also works with orthopaedic and neuroimaging cases. During his training, he gained extensive experience at a rheumatology center in Haugesund, Norway, one of the busiest and most advanced rheumatology centers in the country.
More recently, Dr. Al-Saiddi worked at Danat Al Emarat Hospital for Women and Children in Abu Dhabi, where he handled a high volume of paediatric and gynecologic imaging cases.
