Dr Elie completed his initial training in Internal Medicine at Suny Upstate Medical University Hospital, Syracuse NY, in USA between 2002 and 2005. He went on to do a Fellowship in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at the same institute from 2005 to 2008. While completing his fellowship, Dr Elie worked part-time in the Emergency and Intensive Care Units of VA Hospital, Syracuse NY. He went on to work in a private practice in Greensburg PA, USA, as consultant in Pulmonology, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine from 2008 to 2014. He was a member at large in the medical executive committee at Excela Health Care from 2012 to 2014.
Currently Dr. Elie is the Head of the Medicine Department at Mediclinic Welcare Hospital where he works as a full time consultant in Pulmonary and Sleep Medicine. He also runs the Sleep Laboratory for the Mediclinic Dubai platform.
