Dr. Carlos Sanchez finished his Bachelor Degree in Medicine in 1992. After completing his studies and receiving his medical degree, he worked for one year in the Spanish armed forces as a 2nd Lieutenant Doctor. He did his Fellowship in Paediatrics from 1995-1998 in Cadiz University Hospital and the last year as an Allergic Paediatric Fellow in University Hospital "La Fe" in Valencia, as well as three months in St Thomas’ Hospital, London, learning about molecular techniques applied in allergy. During his first years as a doctor, he was a consultant hospital paediatrician in Spain, and later, in 2008, he was appointed Head of the Paediatric Allergy Department at the University Hospital of Cadiz, in southern Spain.
During the years 2008 to 2019, he developed the first paediatric allergy unit of the hospital and began to carry out desensitisation techniques in children with food allergies, especially cow's milk and hen´s eggs, managing to cure cow's milk allergy in 150 children and 50 children with an egg allergy. These techniques are currently widely used in Spanish hospitals with a 90% cure success. He arrived in Dubai in 2019 and has worked in well reputed hospitals.
Dr. Carlos Sanchez was an Associate Professor of Paediatrics at Cadiz School of Medicine for over 10 years, President of the Andalusian Society of Paediatric Allergy and member of the Joint Board of the Spanish Society of Paediatric Allergy and Asthma for four years. He was part of the experts committee in severe asthma that advises several world laboratories as well as the Spanish authorities and for four years he was the director of the Spanish group of paediatric anaphylaxis publishing the first guide to action for children with anaphylaxis. Among his publications, he has written more than 25 articles in multiple medical journals, book chapters and has been invited to give lectures around the world in addition to being part of several editorial committees of scientific magazines.
