Dr Feroza is a distinguished British Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist with over 20 years of experience in her field and is our Head of Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology. Prior to coming to the UAE, Dr Feroza was a consultant at Liverpool Women's Hospital, the leading and largest dedicated women's hospital in the UK. Pursuant to attaining her primary medical degree, she embarked on specialist training in obstetrics and gynaecology during which she gained a Diploma in Family Planning (DFFP) and obtained both the Membership and Fellowship of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists and the CCT in Obs/Gyn. She also completed a specialist skills module in Maternal Medicine. Dr Feroza has a robust and prolific research portfolio encompassing award-winning research into diabetes and thyroid disease in pregnancy, pre-eclampsia, epilepsy in pregnancy and studies of uterine muscle contractility in labour. Furthermore, she is considered an international expert in recurrent miscarriage. Her seminal research in genetics, thrombophilia and recurrent miscarriage culminated in a Doctorate Degree from the University of Liverpool in 2007. She has authored almost 100 papers, book chapters and abstracts, including a publication in the highly esteemed New England Journal of Medicine. She has conducted and led world-class collaborative research with colleagues from the UK, Amsterdam, Chicago, San Francisco, and Italy. She is regularly invited to deliver international lectures, including at the RCOG World Congress and at various conferences within the UAE and has contributed to Arab Health magazine. Her career achievements include winning numerous research awards at clinical conferences in Miami, Sweden, Birmingham, and Bristol. She also achieved 3 clinical excellence awards from the UK NHS. As clinical lecturer at the University of Liverpool (2007-2009), she taught medical students and mentored several PhD students from the USA, Saudi Arabia, and Amsterdam. In 2019, she attained a Master's degree (with distinction) in International Healthcare Leadership and Management from the prestigious world-renowned, Alliance Manchester Business School, UK. Dr Feroza has been working in the private sector in Abu Dhabi since 2016. She espouses a patient-focused, compassionate approach, underpinned by evidence-based medicine, and prides herself in delivering the highest quality of care to her patients.
