Juanita graduated with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy degree and Diploma of Health Sciences from Monash University in Melbourne, Australia in 2008. Juanita received her Graduate Certificate in Orthopaedic Manual Therapy in 2013, and more recently a Certificate in Pain Management in 2020 through the Train Pain Academy, South Africa. She is a member of the Physiotherapists Registration Board of Victoria and the Australian Physiotherapy Association.
Before joining Mediclinic, Juanita worked as a musculoskeletal physiotherapist and Pilates instructor in Australia. Juanita has lived in Dubai for the past 10 years and has extensive experience helping those with a wide variety of musculoskeletal injuries or pain get back to full function, as well as assisting with various sporting teams such as the UAE Rugby team and an AFL team.
Juanita has a special interest in helping and treating patients suffering with chronic pain – such as chronic neck or low back pain, chronic long-standing joint pain, chronic pelvic pain, whiplash injuries, headaches/migraines, Fibromyalgia, CRPS, chronic rheumatoid arthritis pain or any auto-immune conditions of which pain can be an unfortunate but debilitating side effect.
Juanita also has experience treating women’s health patients for DRAM assessment and treatment, urinary incontinence, pelvic pain and ante/post-natal pain and rehabilitation.
