Summary
Dr. Sridhar Kalyanasundaram completed his basic medical training from India in 1995 as the best outgoing student from Stanley Medical College, Chennai. He qualified in Paediatrics (JIPMER, Pondicherry) and Neonatology (PGIMER, Chandigarh) in India. After completing MRCPCH (UK) and obtaining an entry into the General Medical Council Specialist register in the UK (CCST) in 2005, he obtained his Fellowship of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (FRCPCH) (UK) in 2006. From mid-2005 till August 2012, Dr. Sridhar worked as a consultant neonatologist in a level 3 Neonatal unit at Wishaw General Hospital near Glasgow, UK following which he worked in several private hospitals in Dubai. From 2021 to April 2023, he was head of neonatology at Danat Al Emarat Hospital, Abu Dhabi. Since April 2023, Dr Sridhar is part of the Mediclinic Al Jowhara team in Al Ain, as a consultant neonatologist.
His special interests includes neurodevelopment, respiratory support in neonates and neonatal skin care, and has many peer reviewed publications.
