Summary
Caoimhe is a specialist in Podiatric Sports Medicine who specialises in the treatment of foot and ankle injuries, foot orthoses, gait and biomechanical analyses. She graduated from the National University of Ireland, Galway with a Bachelor’s degree in Podiatry. Following this, she became one of only a small number of podiatrists to graduate with a Masters in Sports and Exercise Medicine from Queen Mary University of London.

She has vast experience in sports and orthopaedics, previously working for a consultant surgeon treating patients and assisting in theatre including the closure of surgical wounds, dressing and casting intra-operatively.

She has worked with many athletes including the Men’s Irish soccer team, international triathletes and many GAA teams in Ireland.

She has recently published two papers on foot morphology and football boots in Premier League Academy players. Her special interests include football medicine, lower limb biomechanics and foot orthoses.
