Dr John Alexander is a fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of London and Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh in the UK and has completed his post graduate training and CCT in Endocrinology, Diabetes and General Internal Medicine from the UK. He has also further completed academic qualifications in Endocrinology and Healthcare leadership from UK universities. He is also a SCOPE certified bariatrician from the World Obesity Federation and believes that weight management is going to be the one of the huge healthcare challenges in the coming decades.
He has over 15 years of clinical experience in different healthcare settings in India, UK and Middle East. He is adept in dealing with all endocrinological and diabetes disorders and has special interest in obesity and weight management, and application of technology in the management of diabetes including insulin pumps and closed loop systems (also known as Artificial Pancreas). He has also been leading clinical services in pregnancy related endocrinological and diabetic disorders. He has numerous publications in international peer-reviewed scientific journals and has presented his work at regional, national and international conferences. He is also an invited speaker for various diabetes and endocrine related educational sessions.
He is also a qualified tutor and trainer and supervises doctors in all grades of training. He has also held the post of Honorary Senior lecturer for medical school in the UK and is a qualified MRCP and PLAB examiner for doctors in training.
Dr Alexander believes in patient centred and evidence based practice and also takes extra care in educating the patients about their medical conditions.
