Dr. Mohamed joined Mediclinic City Hospital from Ireland where he was working in Cork University Hospital. He has special interest in cardiac surgery cases including coronary bypass and valve replacements surgeries, and thoracic surgeries including lung resections, but has also a great experience in all other fields of anaesthesia relating to plastic surgery, orthopaedic surgery, neurosurgery, obstetric and gynaecologic surgery, ENT, ophthalmic surgery and vascular surgery.
In neurosurgical theatres, he is trained in the management of cases with high ICP, traumatic brain injury, subarachnoid haemorrhage, and anaesthetic techniques for craniotomy, spinal surgery and posterior cranial fossa surgery.
Dr. Abokoffa is trained on ultrasound guided regional anaesthesia and intensive care that includes resuscitation and management of trauma victims, respiratory failure and renal replacement therapy.
Dr Abokoffa is an active member of the European Society of Anaesthesia (ESA).
