Dr. Olga Vartzioti is a distinguished European Board certified physician in Adult Respiratory Medicine, awarded the ERS HERMES Diploma, joining a registry of highly qualified respiratory professionals. Over the past 20 years, she has researched and practiced in multiple areas of Pulmonary Medicine, collaborating with leading researchers as a co-investigator in clinical trials for asthma and COPD, and has numerous publications to her credit.
Dr. Olga completed her residency in Respiratory Medicine in Athens, Greece, and was awarded the National Certification (CCT) in 2008. Following this, she continued working as a specialist registrar and oversaw the treatment of the major respiratory outbreak H1N1, focusing on expanding her skills and professional development while keeping up to date with continuous medical education in pulmonology. She was also a Clinical Fellow at the Respiratory-Allergy Unit, Paediatric Department, Atticon University Hospital in Athens. Additionally, she served as Senior House Officer in the Department of Medicine, State GP, and Casualty Officer, providing long-term comprehensive care for adults, adolescents, and the elderly. She has worked as an Associate Consultant in governmental and private hospitals in Athens, Greece, and is interested in networking globally with doctors. From 2017 to 2022, including during the COVID period, she was a Consultant Pulmonologist (SCFHS registered) at King Abdulaziz Hospital in Jeddah, KSA. For the last two years, she has worked at King’s College Hospital London, Dubai.
Driven by her personal passion for sports, including marathon and trail running, as both an athlete and a pulmonologist, she has a keen interest in assessing and managing respiratory issues in athletic individuals. Additionally, Dr. Olga strongly emphasises the importance of preventive medicine and the vital connection between a healthy mind and body, guiding patients and athletic individuals towards proactive measures to maintain respiratory wellbeing and optimise lung function for peak performance.
