Summary
I have 20 years’ experience of working in the specialty. I trained in UK, and worked as a Consultant in the NHS, before moving to Dubai in 2015.

I am a huge advocate of natural birth, and respect women’s wishes surrounding their care. I believe that good communication is the key to providing quality care, and I enjoy a good rapport with my patients. I also believe, that good team work enhances safe outcomes. I have a non-interventionalist approach to care, and uphold firmly the principle of “first do no harm “

I look after women, both in high and low risk pregnancies. I am competent in the care of both assisted and non- assisted vaginal birth and caesarean section. I support VBAC ((vaginal birth after caesarean) and water birth.

In addition to obstetrics services, I provide care to women with abnormal cervical smears, menstrual disorders, ovarian cysts, pelvic pain, fertility issues, complications of early pregnancy.

I have a special interest in the care of women in the perimenopause and menopause. There is no such thing as ‘one size fits all’ in these cases. Care of each woman must be individualised, and tailored bearing in mind her concerns, expectations and suitability for treatment. Provision of evidence-based information, empowers women to make the correct choices for themselves. I believe that if women are given ‘good information ‘they will make ‘good choices’
