Summary
Dr Al Jassmi completed his residency in Paediatrics at the University of Bonn in Germany in 1995. He then completed the residency programme in Paediatric Haematology/Oncology at Sankt Augustin Children University Hospital, Germany in 1998. He alao received his Master degree in Healthcare Management from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland in 2015.

Dr. Al Jassmi is a member of multiple cancer treatment groups in Europe and has participated in treatment protocols in Germany, as well as being widely published on his research work. He is a member of the International Society of
Pediatric Oncology, American Society of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology and the American Society of Hematology.
As well as his work at Mediclinic City Hospital, Dr Al Jassmi has been Senior Consultant and Head of Paediatric Haematology/Oncology at Dubai Hospital since 2004.

His areas of expertise include childhood cancer and blood diseases and he has served as a mentor to many paediatric medical students, residents, fellows and faculty who are current or developing leaders in the field of
paediatric oncology. His influence in the field also extends to numerous advisory or membership roles that he has held including membership of the Cancer Advisory Board of Directors in the Ministry of Health in the UAE, the International Network for Cancer Treatment and Research (INCTR), the Middle East Childhood Cancer Alliance (MECCA) and the Board of Directors for the Arab Gulf Federation of Cancer Control and the Emirates national Cancer Registry Board. He also directs or serves on the scientific advisory board for the leading foundations for childhood cancer research.

He has been an active committee member and advisor at Dubai Health Authority and serves in leadership roles on many governmental levels including Chief Executive Officer of Dubai Hospital till 2018. He has published many articles in peer-reviewed journals. He received the Distinguished Sheikh Rashid Award for Medical Sciences in 1998 and the Distinguished Best Specialised Employee Award from Dubai Government in 2002.
