Summary
Dr Iram graduated from India and was selected for a higher training programme in the UK. She acquired her training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology from the West Midlands Deanery and obtained her Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) in August 2012.
Dr Iram attained accredited advanced training in Fetal Medicine from the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists in 2009.
She was a full time consultant in the NHS before moving to the UAE in 2018 when she joined Mediclinic Al Noor Hospital.
Dr Iram has been practising fetal medicine for the past 12 years and has led the fetal medicine departments in the UK as well as in the UAE. She has been practising Obstetrics and Gynaecology for more than 25 years.
In her current role she provides advanced scanning for fetal anomalies, NT scans, doppler studies, fetal echocardiography, invasive testing and counselling for families when the baby is diagnosed with anomalies. She works closely with the neonatology team and tertiary fetal services to provide the best care to mothers and babies.
She specialises in the management of fetal growth restriction and placental disorders.
Dr Iram has extensive experience in the management of women with complex medical and obstetric conditions in a high-risk setting. She is a strong advocate of natural childbirth and normal deliveries and is heavily involved in teaching and training.
She is the MRCOG clinical examiner for the UAE.
