Wasim Shah is a British-trained physiotherapist with a strong clinical background in managing musculoskeletal conditions and optimising patient outcomes. A graduate of the University of Birmingham, Wasim holds a Master’s in Advanced Clinical Practice with Distinction and a BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy, where he was commended for achieving results in the top 10% of his cohort.
With extensive experience in the NHS and private sectors, Wasim specialises in treating a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions, including sports injuries, post-operative and orthopaedic rehabilitation, chronic pain management and occupational health issues. His clinical expertise includes manual therapy, acupuncture and dry needling and exercise prescription, ensuring an evidence-based and patient-centred approach to care. Passionate about rehabilitation and recovery, Wasim adopts a holistic approach to managing acute and chronic pain, tailoring treatment plans to meet each individual’s needs and goals. He is highly skilled in delivering care for athletes, post-surgical patients, and individuals experiencing musculoskeletal pain or functional limitations, supporting them to achieve optimal recovery and long-term health.
In addition to his clinical practice, Wasim has led service transformation initiatives and his research into health inequalities in musculoskeletal care has resulted in the publication of a pioneering paper in the Musculoskeletal Care Journal, which is the first of its kind in the UK. His research aims to improve access and outcomes for underserved populations within musculoskeletal services. Fluent in multiple languages, Wasim is licensed by the DHA and fully registered with the HCPC and CSP in the UK.
