Dr. Sandeep Thakur has more than 15 years' experience as an ophthalmologist. He has wide experience in the management of patients with various vitreoretinal disorders including premature babies with retinopathy of prematurity.
He specialises in treating conditions such as diabetic retinopathy, retinal vascular disease, retinal detachment, vitreous haemorrhage, intraocular foreign bodies, giant retinal tears, intraocular tumours and dislocated lens. He also treats patients with uveitis and optic nerve disorders.
He also performs simple and complicated retinal detachment surgeries, 23G/25G vitrectomies, intravitreal injections lucentis/eyelea and retinal laser photocoagulation.
He gained his vitreoretinal fellowship from Sankara Netharalaya, Chennai (India). He is also a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons, Edinburgh (UK).
