Summary
Dr Alsheikh-Ali completed all his medical training in the USA. He is certified by the American Board of Medical Specialties in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Diseases, and Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology. Prior to returning to the UAE, Dr Alsheikh-Ali was an attending Cardiologist and Electrophysiologist at Tufts Medical Center in Boston, USA.
His clinical practice focuses on the evaluation and treatment of all cardiac rhythm disorders, including invasive management of cardiac arrhythmias with electrophysiologic studies and catheter-based ablation, implantation and follow-up of cardiac rhythm devices (pacemakers, defibrillators, and cardiac resynchronization therapy), evaluation and management of hereditary arrhythmic syndromes (e.g. Brugada, Long-QT, Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy, and ARVD).
Dr Alsheikh-Ali's is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Tufts University School of Medicine (Boston, USA) and is well published in the fields of electrophysiology, preventive cardiology, and the epidemiology of cardiovascular diseases in the Gulf region, with numerous lead-author publications in international peer-reviewed journals including the Lancet, Annals of Internal Medicine, and Circulation.
