Summary
Dr. Lawrence has been working as a sports and family medicine physician in Dubai for the last seven years. Prior to that he practiced as a family medicine doctor and musculoskeletal physician in the UK for 28 years and was a senior partner of a busy 14,000 patient practice prior to moving to Dubai. His professional journey reflects a deep-rooted passion for Sports Medicine, which led him to earn a Master’s in Sports Medicine from the University of Bath. Notably, he had the honour of working at the Sports Medicine Polyclinic during the London 2012 Olympics.
His academic interests include adolescent rugby injuries, having worked closely with the English RFU and caring for, as well as studying, two large rugby-playing public schools for many years. He holds a Fellowship of the RCGP (Royal College of General Practitioners) and finds his generalist background invaluable for the diagnostic challenges of Sports and Musculoskeletal Medicine. Dr. Lawrence is dedicated to not just the diagnostic chase but recognizing the multifaceted causes that underline the condition, including the physical, physiological and psychological factors.
