Dr. Shanthi Sairam obtained her FRCOG from the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists in London, UK and subsequently pursued her interest in Fetal Medicine and Fetal Cardiology. She has previously worked as a specialist in Fetal Medicine in the UK and also worked as a consultant in Fetal Medicine and Fetal Cardiology in a tertiary care centre in India.
Dr. Shanthi Sairam performs routine scans for all pregnant women and tertiary level scans for high-risk pregnancies including those with fetal anomalies and twin/higher order multiple pregnancies. She has extensive experience in providing comprehensive counselling and management options for pregnancies with fetal anomalies. She has a special interest in fetal echocardiography and fetal cardiology. She also performs invasive procedures such as amniocentesis and chorionic villous sampling. She is a keen teacher and has lectured in many courses and workshops at regional, national and international levels. She has authored several scientific papers and several book chapters on topics in Fetal Medicine.
