Dr. Samuel has more than 35 years of experience. He finished his medical degree from Mayo Medical School in Minnesota, USA, and completed his Internal Medicine residency from the University of Minnesota and his Gastroenterology fellowship from the University of California. He is a member of the American Gastroenterological Association, American Association for Cancer Research, Society for Experimental Biology and Medicine, and Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation of America. Most recently, Dr. Samuel was a Professor of Medicine at the University of California, San Diego, and the Chief of Gastroenterology at the VA San Diego Healthcare System.
Dr. Samuel is currently a Professor of Medicine and the Chair of Clinical Sciences at Mohammed Bin Rashid University of Medicine and Health Sciences, Dr. Samuel’s interests are in general gastroenterology, intestinal microbiome, colon cancer screening, chronic viral hepatitis, and fatty liver disease and obesity.
