Dr Girish H C is a consultant paediatrician with more than 35 years’ experience in general paediatrics & 27 years’ experience in paediatric critical care.
He has been working in UAE for last two years. Prior to this, he has practised as a consultant in several countries including India, USA, UK and Singapore, enriching his expertise with diverse clinical perspectives.
After obtaining his MBBS and MD fom India, Dr Girish had paediatric residency training at State University of New York Brooklyn, USA leading to American Board Certification in General Paediatrics. He also served as Chief Resident of Paediatrics at Staten Island University Hospital, New York. Further, he underwent fellowship training in Paediatric Critical Care at Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles leading to American Board Certification in Paediatric Critical Care. He also served as an attending physician in Paediatric Critical Care at the Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles. With his extensive qualifications he was also given equivalence degree of Certificate of Completion of Specialist Training (CCST) by the General Medical Council , UK
After returning to India, he worked in many hospitals in Bangalore as a consultant paediatrician and paediatric intensivist, and helped setup paediatric and paediatric ICU departments in many hospitals. He also had a successful paediatric private practice in Bangalore, India for the last two decades. During this time he has also worked at Queens Medical Center, Nottingham, UK, Leeds General Infirmary, UK and National University Hospital, Singapore.
His areas of interest include routine well-baby visits, immunisations and general childhood diseases up to 18 years of age, chronic care of complex paediatric patients, paediatric critical care, mechanical ventilation and paediatric cardiac critical care. Dr. Girish is dedicated to patient safety and education, ensuring comprehensive care and support for his paediatric patients and their families. He is known for compassionate patient & family centric attitude.
