Dr Naser is currently serving as a consultant paediatric hematology/oncology at Mediclinic City Hospital in Dubai. Before that he was the Chief Division of Paediatric Haematology/Oncology at Sheikh Khalifa Medical City (SKMC). Dr Naser joined SKMC in 2009. He also served as the Chairman of Paediatrics at Sheikh Khalifa City in 2020-2021, prior to which he served as the medical director of paediatric haematology/oncology at Blank Children's Hospital in Des Moines, Iowa, USA.He was also an assistant professor of paediatrics/paediatric haematology/oncology at Carver College of Medicine at the University of Iowa.

Dr Naser completed his medical degree at Jordan University of Science and Technology in 1993, and then undertook his PhD in Paediatrics at the University of Jordan. He completed his training in the USA and is double American board certified in Paediatrics and Paediatric Haematology/Oncology.

Dr Naser has major interests in lymphoma and haematological malignancies, as well as benign haematology such as hemoglobinopathies. He also has extensive experience in bone marrow transplant and solid tumours.

He is a two-time winner of the American Society of Oncology (ASCO) Merit Award for the best translational medicine research abstract in cancer genetics. In addition, he won the Lymphoma Spore Group Grant Award in 2005 for his work on DNA methylation in B cell lymphomas.
In addition, Dr Alzein won the Best Teaching Award from the Education Department at SKMC three times. He won Employee of the month at SKMC.

Dr Naser has been a speaker at several international and regional meetings and has multiple publications related to his field.
