In his or her first years of life, your baby will be examined at regular intervals by a paediatrician. These frequent examinations are aimed at identifying and treating behavioral difficulties or illnesses as soon as possible.

On the one hand, the paediatrician will examine your child’s state of health (organs, skin, nervous system and bone structure), weight and growth, while on the other hand the development of your child's motor skills, senses and intellectual and psychological faculties will also be tested. Your doctor will answer your questions and provide you with support if you are uncertain about any matter.

Your child should receive a general check-up at the following ages: 1 month, 2 months, 4 months, 6 months, 9 to 12 months, 15 to 18 months, 2 years, 4 years, 6 years, 10 years and 14 years. Your doctor will inform you of any additional tests that may be required.
