Many patients present to hospital because of minor conditions such as lumps on the body,abscesses, piles & anal fissures or fistula. These are dealt with by General Surgeon at the Mediclinic City Hospital, who have a number of years of experience as General Surgeons in different countries.
Some of these conditions can be treated in the outpatient clinic under local anaesthesia or as a Day case. However, many others will require a general anaesthesia and can be performed as a Day case or with an overnight stay.
Mediclinic City Hospital has a dedicated Day Case Unit to deal with just these kind of cases. This consists of a Day Case ward, Day case Operating theatre and a Day case recovery. Patients requiring Day case procedures can be safely admitted, operated, observed and discharged from the Day Case Unit, without having to get admitted in the main hospital ward.
