Deleting a MyHealth 24x7 Account and Data
Users of MyHealth 24x7 are allowed to delete one’s account by following the instructions below. Once a user deletes their account, the accoutn data is either removed or retained for legitimate reasons which are stated below with relative retention times
Instructions for deleting your account in MyHealth 24x7 mobile application:
- Log in to the mobile application using with the account you wish to delete
- Navigate to the Me page by choosing the rightmost Me icon at the bottom of the screen
- “Scroll down until you find the option “Delete account" and choose it
- You will be taken to a new page where you can request the deletion of your account
- Confirm the request by writing your first name and last name to the input field and choose “Delete account” 6. You are logged out and your account and data (for which there is no other legal basis for retention) will be deleted within the next 48 hours
Please note: If you have open virtual clinic discussions or care plans, you must first close those to be able to delete your account.
What data is retained after deleting the account?
- Virtual Clinic Discussion History: Not less than 25 years under Article 20 of the Health Data Law
- Care Plans: Not less than 25 years under Article 20 of the Health Data Law
- Surveys and Symptom Assessments: Not less than 25 years under Article 20 of the Health Data Law
What happens to my retained data after deleting the account?
The follow data not retained after deleting your account will remain securly stored for 25 years under Article 20 of the Health Data Law within Mediclinic Middle East’s electronic health record system:
- Appointments and Appointment History
- Medical Records (Visit Summaries, Test Results, Prescriptions and Referrals)
- Insurance Company History
- Consents
All retained data with Mediclinic will be kept confidentialand will not be shared without authorization.
