We Are Guardians of Patient Privacy

How do passphrases strengthen privacy?

Ensuring the confidentiality and security of patient information is paramount to our commitment to quality healthcare. As valued members of the Mediclinic family, it is crucial that each employee upholds the highest standards in data privacy.

What else can you do to strengthen security?

  • Do not share or disclose your passphrase, not even to your ICT supporter.
  • Do not publish your email address on social media (e.g. LinkedIn) or use it for private accounts. Always use your private email address. If you don’t have one, then create one.
  • Create a unique passphrase for every account.
  • If you struggle to remember the different passphrases, use a password manager application.
  • Enable, where possible, multi-factor authentication (MFA) and use the Microsoft Authenticator application.
  • Activate the virtual private network (VPN) to connect with your Mediclinic environment when working outside Mediclinic facilities.

Remember, our dedication to patient well-being extends beyond medical care; it includes safeguarding their privacy. Let us all contribute to fostering an environment where patients can trust that their information is handled with the utmost care and respect.

Thank you for your commitment to upholding the values that make Mediclinic a trusted healthcare provider.
