Yes, Mediclinic offers Covid-19 PCR testing at most units. A PCR test is a nasal swab test, or Throat swab for dhildren, which detects if you are currently infected with Covid-19.

4. When will I have my results?
Results are available between 36-48 hours after you take the test. Please do not contact us unless you have not received your results within 48 hours. If you require your PCR test for travel, please ensure you leave sufficient time to receive your test results. If you have tested for Covid-19 because you have symptoms, you should self-isolate until you have a negative result.
The Department of Health or the Dubai Health Authority are responsible for updating the Al Hosn app, not Mediclinic Middle East. If you have any queries in this regards, please contact them directly.
5. Can we pay to have results faster?
No, we do not offer an express service.
6. Can we do anything to have results before 24 hours?
Sometimes you may receive your results sooner than 24 hours later, however, this cannot be guaranteed.
7. Do you have a drive through service?
Yes. Drive through services are available at:

8. Do we need to pre-register?
Pre-registration is recommended to ensure accuracy of the details in the reports, however it is not absolutely necessary. Find the pre-registration link here
9. Can you do home testing?
Home testing for individuals may be carried out on a case by case basis. Please contact your nearest facility directly to enquire. Home testing is also carried out for clients of Dubz, Etihad and ATS Travel. Please visit their respective web pages for details.
10. Do you have laser tests?
No, we do not offer the laser test for the purposes of travelling to Abu Dhabi.
11. Do we need an appointment for testing?
Appointments are required at some units. Please consult the table above.
12. Do you send a report/notification?
If you have taken a test at Mediclinic, you will automatically receive your positive or negative result via SMS and email on the details you have registered with us, although you may not receive them at the same time. You may print the laboratory report and use it for travel purposes.
13. When will it be updated on the Al Hosn application?
Your test result should also be updated on the Al Hosn application, however if you have any queries regarding this please visit www.alhosnapp.ae for more information.
14. Will it have my details?
Yes, the report which you receive on email will contain all necessary personal details.
15. Will you send it automatically?
Yes, the report and SMS will be sent automatically to the contact email and phone number you have registered with us.
16. Will it be stamped/authenticated?
The report you receive from Mediclinic is an official document which is signed by the authorising pathologist and automatically stamped.
17. Can we use the app at the Abu Dhabi border or do we need to print the report?
The Abu Dhabi border accepts the result SMS/email with your Emirates ID or the Al Hosn app.
